In December of 2015, Ontario introduced the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP). The aim of this program is to increase accessibility to treatment for patients requiring assisted reproductive technologies to conceive. The OFP funds a fixed number of fertility treatment cycles for Ontario residents - including in vitro fertilization (IVF), fertility preservation, and artificial insemination/intrauterine insemination.

BORN Ontario is supporting the evaluation of the OFP by analyzing IVF treatment information captured in CARTR Plus (i.e. IVF rates, practices, and outcomes). The findings are eagerly anticipated by the OFP, Ontario's fertility clinics, as well as the population of patients who have or will benefit from this important policy initiative.
