Dr. Katherine Muldoon

Dr. Katherine Muldoon is an Epidemiologist at BORN Ontario and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. She is also President of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood Ottawa.

With more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Muldoon's research spans sexual, reproductive, maternal, infant, and child health across diverse Canadian and global settings. Her work has focused on gender-based violence, HIV, pregnancy, maternal health, vulnerable populations, and health equity, with an overarching interest in how social, structural, and health system factors shape health outcomes.

At BORN Ontario, her current work focuses on understanding regional variation in maternal, infant, and child health outcomes and supporting evidence-informed improvements in care across Ontario's Regional Networks.
