Dr. Jessica Reszel

Jessica Reszel is a Registered Nurse and Knowledge Translation Specialist at the Better Outcomes Registry & Network (BORN) Ontario. She completed her PhD in the School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa, where her research focused on advancing the application of implementation science in maternal-newborn care.

Her research interests include knowledge translation, implementation capacity building, program evaluation, and optimizing the use of health data to improve healthcare quality and outcomes. Her work uses qualitative and mixed-methods research designs and applies integrated knowledge translation (research co-production) and user-centred design approaches to develop evidence-informed solutions that are relevant, useful, and usable for healthcare providers, decision-makers, and other end users. At BORN Ontario, Dr. Reszel designs, implements, and evaluates initiatives that support the integration of data and evidence into maternal-newborn practice, quality improvement initiatives, and health system decision-making.
