NT Registration

Registration with PSO at BORN Ontario gives sonographers and physicians access to their personalized NT performance distributions via the BORN Information System (BIS) and allows them to receive information on Ontario's nuchal translucency quality assurance (NTQA) program.

Physicians who report NT measurements acquired by sonographers should ensure that sonographers are complying with the guidance above and the expectations of Ontario's NTQA program.

Physicians who report, but do not scan NT ultrasounds do not require an Ontario NT ID number. PSO recommends that these physicians complete the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) 11-13 weeks scan course to refresh their knowledge on proper NT measurement protocol.

Please select one of the following three roles below to access more registration information and to launch the registration form that applies to you.

New NT Sonographer

Follow these instructions and fill out the “new sonographer” registration form if you are a sonographer/physician who has never performed, and would like to perform NT measurements and submit them to the Ontario MMS labs for first trimester screening.

I do not have an Ontario NT ID number

Existing NT Sonographer

Follow these instructions and fill out the “existing sonographer” registration form if you are a sonographer/physician who has been performing NT measurements and submitting them to the Ontario MMS labs for first trimester screening.

I have an Ontario NT ID number

Quality Advisor/Medical Director

Follow these instructions and fill out the “quality advisor/medical director” registration form if you are a quality advisor or a medical director who does not perform NT measurements, but oversees sonographers who do, and would like to receive communications regarding Ontario's NTQA program.

I am a Quality Advisor or a Medical Director

If you have any questions about the registration process or about Ontario's NTQA program, please email PSO at BORN Ontario or call 1-833-351-6490.
