BORN Collaborative
Overview
The BORN Collaborative is a community of individuals who use the BORN Information System (BIS) and are passionate about using perinatal data to improve care for birthing people and newborns. The Collaborative includes a diverse group of data contributors - from nurses and midwives to clinical educators, managers, administrative staff, and clinical informatics specialists.
Why This Matters
The people who use the BIS every day—whether at the bedside, in clinics, or behind the scenes—hold valuable knowledge about what works and what needs improvement. The BORN Collaborative ensures these voices are heard and integrated into system enhancements. This leads to better tools, more efficient workflows, and ultimately, safer and more equitable care for pregnant individuals and newborns across Ontario.

- Facilitates the Collaborative, gathers input, and integrates feedback into BIS enhancements and strategic initiatives.
