World Alloimmunization and HDFN Awareness day 2025

March 12 marks World Alloimmunization and Hemolytic Disease of the Fetus and Newborn (HDFN) Awareness Day, a global initiative to increase awareness and advocate for patients impacted by, and providers managing, Alloimmunization and HDFN.

Ontario is making significant progress in this area with the implementation of two new screening tests to assess for fetal blood group incompatibility in pregnancy. This advancement will enhance prenatal care by offering timely information to support the decision-making of health-care providers and their patients.
