BORN Scientific Director Dr. Mark Walker leads Lancet seminar on pre-eclampsia

BORN Ontario Scientific Director Dr. Mark Walker has led a global team of experts in a commissioned Seminar published in The Lancet examining the latest evidence on pre-eclampsia, one of the most serious complications of pregnancy.

The Lancet Seminar series brings together experts to interpret evidence on important clinical topics. Dr. Walker is the first and corresponding author of the Seminar, providing leadership on the synthesis of current knowledge about pre-eclampsia, including risk factors, prevention, diagnosis and care.

The publication represents international recognition of Dr. Walker's expertise and longstanding leadership in maternal-fetal medicine, clinical epidemiology and maternal and perinatal health. His work, alongside that of researchers and clinicians around the world, contributes to a growing evidence base that can help improve the prevention, recognition and management of serious pregnancy complications.
