BORN Ontario is proud to be featured in a recent article by the Ottawa Medical Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, highlighting innovative work in using artificial intelligence (AI) to support earlier identification of autism.

In the article, BORN Ontario is recognized as a key partner in advancing this research through its leadership in population-level data, analytics, and system integration. The project explores how AI models applied to linked health data may help identify children who could benefit from earlier assessment and support.

Beyond model development, the article emphasizes the importance of translating AI research into real-world health system tools. BORN’s expertise in data governance, interoperability, and collaboration with clinical and policy partners positions it to support the responsible and equitable implementation of AI across Ontario.
