Clinical Reports for Midwifery Practice Groups

Clinical reports help you monitor and analyze care provided by individual midwives and all midwives at your practice group, as well as maternal and infant outcomes. Reports fall under four categories: maternal newborn standard reports, data download reports, patient-level reports and individual midwife clinical reports.

Maternal Newborn Standard Reports include:

  • Midwifery Care Profile Reports

Data Download Reports include:

  • Encounter List
  • Patient Experience

Patient-Level Reports include:

  • Encounter Summary
  • Maternal Patient Experience Summary

Individual Midwife Clinical Reports include:

  • Midwifery Care Profile – Labour
  • Midwifery Care Profile – Birth
  • Midwifery Care Profile – Newborn
  • Midwifery Care Profile – Utilization of Services

For detailed information about the report contents and/or how to run the reports, please see the BIS reporting guide for Midwifery.

Your BORN Coordinator can help you navigate which report might be best to serve your needs.

If you require data that is not contained in one of these standard or clinical reports, you may submit a data request.

Administrative Reports for Midwifery Practice Groups

Administrative Reports are an important part of data quality management – they help you identify missing data and data entry errors.

Administrative Reports Include:

  • Incomplete Record Reports
  • Maternal-Infant Cross Encounter Discrepancy Reports
  • Reconciliation Reports
  • Missing Data Element Reports
  • Month-End Data Acknowledgement
  • User Roles Report
