Data Holdings

BORN collects personal health information (PHI) for the purpose of facilitating or improving the provision of health care or as otherwise permitted under PHIPA and its Regulation. BORN Holdings consist of the following:

BORN Information System (BIS)

The BIS is comprised of PHI collected from health information custodians (HICs) and other organizations as listed in the BIS statement of purpose. The unique data collections within the BIS relate to the provision of obstetric, neonatal, pediatric, and youth services (in relative order of decreasing breadth of the data collection):
