Prenatal Screening Ontario (PSO) is the provincial resource for pregnant individuals, families, and health-care professionals seeking trusted information and updates about prenatal screening.

Funded by the Government of Ontario, PSO oversees and coordinates prenatal screening services across the province, helping to ensure a cohesive, accessible, and high-quality system of care.

Mandate

  • Monitor and report on how prenatal screening is performing across Ontario.
  • Set standards and promote consistent, high-quality prenatal screening lab services.
  • Educate and support health-care providers, pregnant individuals, and families.
  • Support Expert Committees with coordination and secretarial functions.
