Maternal Newborn Outcomes Committee (MNOC) Subcommittee

Regional Network Data Working Group

The Regional Network Data Working Group was established to explore how insights from BORN data can support provincial and regional priorities, ultimately driving meaningful, measurable, and actionable improvements in Ontario’s maternal-newborn health system. By aligning data analysis with strategic goals, the group helps ensure that BORN’s work contributes directly to enhancing the quality of care across the province.

This interdisciplinary group includes representatives from each of Ontario’s six maternal/newborn/child regional networks, BORN Ontario, the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health (PCMCH), and Ontario Health. Together, they identify data needs, interpret findings, and advise on knowledge dissemination strategies. Their work includes reviewing variations in care, identifying gaps, and proposing quality improvement initiatives based on BORN data. With province-wide representation and a shared commitment to advancing maternal-newborn care, the group plays a vital role in translating data into action.
