BORN is pleased to present Perinatal Health Reports for all LHIN’s across the province of Ontario. The reports provide information by fiscal year on pregnancy, maternal and child health and outcomes of interest to health care providers and administrators.
These reports are based primarily on data from BORN Ontario (formerly the Ontario Perinatal Surveillance System (OPSS) Niday Perinatal Database), but includes other sources of data, where applicable. The objectives of the reports are to:
Illustrate the utility of the data in supporting indicators that are relevant to reproductive and child health
Highlight maternal-child issues and trends arising from the analysis
Present a baseline for future examination of trends by LHIN
Provide information to inform decision making and policy development relevant to maternal health and reproductive outcomes.
