The Fetal Alert Network (FAN) provide a spectrum of specialized perinatal services to women in Ontario experiencing a pregnancy complicated with fetal anomalies. The result is a network of multi-disciplinary professionals and institutions working together to improve the accessibility, quality, and delivery of health care to pregnant women and their fetuses/newborns. The FAN database will provide BORN with critical information about the 4000 (3%) babies born each year in Ontario with serious birth defects.

FAN is managed through a distributed model of support with FAN coordinators hosted at Academic Health Science Centres across the province.
